Edna + Jay \\ Benvenuto Restaurant and Events Wedding \\ Boynton Beach Wedding Photographer

The passing of customs and traditions from generation to generation brings tremendous significance to families and loved ones. Nine One Four Photography and Film joins Edna + Jay for their traditional intimate wedding at Benvenuto Restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Edna + Jay kept their family's traditions and beliefs alive during their wedding by bringing together their Hispanic and Jewish customs.

Edna's mother guided and prayed over the Cord of Three Strands ceremony, often called "God's Knot" or the Unity Braid Ceremony, which symbolizes the joining of one man, one woman, and God into a marriage relationship. During the Cord of Three Strands Ceremony, the groom holds a small metal ring with three attached strands. The bride then braids the strands together, symbolizing the union of God, husband and wife, the gold strand representing God, the purple strand representing the groom, and the white strand representing the bride.

Keeping with the Jewish customs, Jay's sister placed the glass for Jay to stomp on and break at the end of their wedding ceremony.

"As this glass shatters, so may our marriage never break, Mazel tov!"

This ceremony was probably one of the sweetest! Edna + Jay did nothing but smile and laugh with each other the entire time.

Happy Viewing!
